Airsoft Holiday Shopping Guide: Best Airsoft Stocking Stuffers!

Published 2024-11-17 by Tyler J.

What are some good stocking stuffers for airsoft?

Need to fill a stocking for an airsoft enthusiast? You've come to the right guide for this gift-giving season! Airsofters aren't the easiest hobbyists to shop for, as the wide range of specific gear and equipment can often confuse a less knowledgeable shopper. Even something as simple as buying BBs can be puzzling with how many different brands and weights there are available. While airsoft can be an expensive hobby, buying gifts for an airsofter doesn't have to be! There are plenty of affordable stocking-sized accessories that would make an airsofter ecstatic to receive in their bundle of fireplace goodies on that special day. But, with so many accessories on Evike.com to choose from, you might be wondering what might work best as a gift. In this article, we'll dive into just that! We'll first look into what you may want to consider when buying an airsoft related gift, and then take a look at some of my top recommendations for airsoft presents!

First, here's what you should probably avoid buying as an airsoft gift:

Each airsoft player is going to have their own specific needs and preferences. Unless you know exactly which niche item they need, buying them something too specific may run the risk of drawing a confused expression upon unwrapping. Seeing as you're reading this article, there's a good chance you might not be the battle buddy charging into the fight right alongside your gift recipient. Thus, you may be a little left in the dark to their specific needs. You ideally want your gift to be something that just about anyone in the hobby could enjoy or find use for. Even something as generic as a scope might not be compatible with the type of gun the airsofter you're buying for uses. Here's a list of some of the gifts I would personally be wary about buying unless you know your gift recipient specifically asked for it:

Be careful with these gifts:

  • Batteries: There are a wide range of battery sizes, voltages, and chemistry types in airsoft. Each electric airsoft gun demands something a little different, and players can even have their own preferences as to which they use. Since batteries can get very specific, I'd typically advise leaving this one off the to-buy list.

  • Spare Magazines: Magazines can be deceptively picky sometimes. Even if you know your gift recipient uses an M4, some M4 magazines might not work with their specific gun. Even then, many airsofters have a brand of magazine that they prefer in particular.

  • Optics: Like I stated earlier, scopes don't fit on just about any airsoft rifle! Airsoft optics typically require a good amount of consideration depending on your player's airsoft field and rifle platform before purchase. Unless they've linked you to a specific optic they want, I would lean on the safe side and avoid this as a gift.

  • Grips: Grips are typically an appealing gift idea since they're relatively inexpensive and are often a first consideration when thinking about rifle attachments. However, just like the optics, they can be platform specific and don't generalize well to a wide range of airsofters.

  • Internal Upgrade Parts: Though I don't see this considered too often, I would be the most wary about purchasing internal parts as a gift. Internal parts can be even more specific than external attachments, and can often require expert tech-work to be installed properly. If your gift recipient is firm on wanting their airsoft gun upgraded for the holidays, take them to a local airsoft shop with tech services to discuss upgrade options rather than simply buying them parts.

With that out of the way, let's get into some of my top picks for small airsoft gifts!

Six Airsoft Stocking Stuffer Ideas!

Speed loaders are one of the most universally useful things you can get an airsofter! If a player wants to load their magazine with any degree of efficiency, they're going to need one of these. This one in particular is larger than most and carries more BBs than the average speed loader, all while keeping an M4 magazine shape for good fit in magazine pouches. Just about any player will find use for one of these, even if they have one already!

A seasoned airsoft player may already have their own protective gear, but I often find that there's no harm in having extras. Depending on the kit a player is running, they might want a different style or color of glove. And, if they bring a friend to the field, having an extra pair of hand-protectors can be a life saver for someone's knuckles! These gloves in particular have been some of the most comfortable I've come across for airsoft play. They fit snugly and have enough rubber backing to significantly reduce the harsh impact of a full power BB. So long as you get the right size, just about any airsoft player would be pleased to have a set of gloves. Even if it's not their first!

Just need to get a quick small gift to show that you care? This neat little mock-bullet comes with 2000 0.25 gram BBs that just about any player can find use for. 0.25G ammo is popular as a primary BB weight for many. Even if you're buying for a player that's stingier with their BB weight, 0.25G ammo is perfect as a sidearm pistol caliber as well! These BBs coming inside a Barett licensed bullet shell also adds a neat bit of novelty that helps this gift stand out. I highly recommend this as a gift to tuck in any airsofter's stocking this holiday season!

Earlier in this article, I warned about how certain attachments might not work too well with certain airsoft guns. While this flashlight might not fit on every airsoft gun, it'll definitely fit onto most! It comes with a few different mounting options, ensuring most airsoft guns will have some way to mount it. Many airsoft attachments can just become dead weight if not attached to the airsoft gun. But, with this flashlight, you can always just take it off the mounting system and use it as a normal flashlight. Its extra utility and relatively low price as far as airsoft flashlights go lead me to giving it a thumbs up as a possible gift for your airsoft enthusiast!

Airsoft aside, toy knives are loads of fun! This rubber knife comes with a case that can be fitted to any player's kit, and can even be attached to certain airsoft guns. Though many fields don't allow knife eliminations, this piece can serve as a gateway to field shenanigans. Whether a player wants to use this knife to spice up a tactical kit or run mock knife fights before a game is up to them. Watch how your gift recipient utilizes this tactical piece of plastic this holiday season!

Oftentimes, I see players excited about taking their new airsoft rifle that they picked up during the holidays to the airsoft field only to be disappointed that it's shooting way too hard for field regulations. Many newer players don't own their own chronograph to test their airsoft guns velocity with, which is why I recommend the X310 Chronograph! This tiny little FPS (Feet Per Second) reader allows players to know exactly how hard their gun is shooting, while remaining portable enough to take anywhere. Even if a player already has a chronograph, this one's compact size makes it super useful for on-the-go testing. Give the gift of knowledge this holiday season by giving your airsofter the ability to measure their airsoft gun's velocity!

In wrapping up, finding the perfect stocking stuffer for an airsoft enthusiast is all about understanding their needs and the nuances of the sport. Even without knowing the specifics of their play or the nuances of their kit, you can still find a gift that is both thoughtful and useful. Whether it's high-grade BBs, a tactical piece of gear, or a novelty item to showcase their passion, each gift holds the potential to enhance their airsoft experience. Remember, the value of your present isn't measured by its price tag, but by the joy and practicality it brings to the recipient's game. With this guide, you're now well-equipped to choose a gift that will be both a surprise and a delight, perfectly complementing the excitement of the festive season.
